Who am I?
A poem for those lost in life.
A poem for those lost in life.
A doctor, a pilot, a man building buildings,
Every kid in your class has a dream they're singin'.
Your turn! You can think of none, so you just lie,
Each morning, every night; just one question: who am I?
A pen, a bat, a laptop, or a guitar,
Every teen's got a compass; there's his north star.
Too many stars, blinding light, you try but can't fly,
Every Sunday, every Monday; just one question: who am I?
A writer, a poet, a player, engineer,
Graduation - indecision, failure, and fear.
Grim walls close in; all doors: access denied!
Every story, every song; just one question: who am I?
Blink! You're an unprepared grown-up,
Wanting stars, desperate lies are all you can muster up.
Yet you burn, in your ambition, so you just try,
Open your heart and get unlost; someday you'll know: who am I?
